About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Fleet Category Manager to join our team at SIXT USA. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the global requirements of our internal customers and accompanying purchasing projects as an interdisciplinary interface to other departments.

As a Procurement Fleet Category Manager, you will be responsible for transferring the corporate planning into the group-wide procurement roadmap for the fleet division, monitoring the market for conventional and innovative partners and strategies relating to our fleet division, conducting tenders and auctions, supporting rollouts and establishing the group-wide e-Sourcing and e-Procurement strategy.

You will also be responsible for conducting annual negotiations with our existing contractual partners and intermediaries in Germany and abroad, supporting our foreign companies in their negotiations, reviewing and optimizing our international quality standards and implementing them with our local partners, taking on group-wide responsibility for the development of a product group strategy and ensuring its implementation, and improving the cost structure of SIXT by analyzing, designing and implementing purchasing initiatives.

As an experienced buyer, you will be a professional role model for your team colleagues and support them by sharing knowledge on topics such as negotiation, project planning and purchasing tools.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in OFC procurement or a related field, with at least 5 years experience
  • You have in-depth knowledge of OFC procurement and technical knowledge of vehicle and body specification
  • You have very good negotiating skills, coupled with strong cost awareness
  • You are characterised by your ability to work under pressure, team spirit and assertiveness
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and OEMs
  • You have very good knowledge of MS Office
  • You feel at home in an agile environment and remain calm and experienced even with short-term project changes
  • Travel up to 25% both domestically and globally
