Job Summary

This position is located within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Department Records Branch. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing guidance or assistance in record management activities to ensure the identification, retrieval, maintenance or disposition of records within an organization.

About the Job

This job is open to current federal employees of this agency, career transition (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL) federal employees who meet the definition of a "surplus" or "displaced" employee, and current employees within the OCIO who are on a career or career conditional appointment, or who are eligible for consideration under non-competitive procedures or special hiring authority.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of records liaisons within each office of the OS, identifying offices without records liaisons and working with management and supervisors to get them assigned, coordinating to provide records liaisons training on role specific duties and responsibilities based on laws, regulations, departmental and OS records policy and guidance, developing metrics and regularly updating the OS Records Officer on number of active records liaisons and their training status, and providing analysis and recommendations on ways to improve records liaison management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, with experience in providing guidance or assistance in record management activities to ensure the identification, retrieval, maintenance or disposition of records within an organization.
