Records Management Specialist

The Building People is seeking a highly skilled Records Management Specialist to support the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the execution of the Enterprise Services Division's records management plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Central File Unit, ensuring efficient sorting, filing, tracking, and scanning of documents.
- Provide guidance to Rural Development programs on records management best practices, regulations, and laws.
- Analyze and review records management operations, creating inventories and spreadsheets as needed.
- Digitize records with proper disposition and dispose of eligible records according to USDA and RD instructions.
- Facilitate records transfers to the Federal Records Center and National Archives Records Administration.
Requirements:
- Three years' experience in records management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of records management processes and laws.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
