Job Title: Deputy Director, R&P Budget and Finance

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to lead the financial management of our Resettlement and Integration (RAI) Department. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our refugee programs, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, and providing strategic financial leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial management of RAI Department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IRC's financial internal control procedures.
  • Collaborate with program officers to ensure financial management aligns with program goals and objectives.
  • Manage a team of finance coordinators and program and finance officers to ensure effective financial operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including government agencies and non-profit organizations.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit or government setting.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, data visualization, and use of databases.
  • Prior experience working with partner organizations and government agencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
