Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Service Manager in the management of the maintenance program, including coordination, supervision, and instruction of adult in custody (AIC) workers.
  • Direct and supervise crews to ensure job-related rules, policies, procedures, and security guidelines are enforced.
  • Evaluate AIC work performance and conduct searches to ensure absence of contraband.
  • Coordinate the routine installation, repair, maintenance, and upgrade of facility systems.
  • Evaluate and monitor work in progress and at the time of completion, for conformance to blueprints, schematics, and construction, fire, and safety codes.
Requirements
  • Two (2) years of experience in general building maintenance, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting, or plastering.
  • A journeyman's license/card in any of the above trades will substitute for this experience.
