Job Title: Asset Finance Lead

Lonza is seeking an experienced Asset Finance Lead to join our team in Vacaville, California. As a critical member of our financial control and analysis team, you will play a key role in the financial planning and analysis of one of our largest and most strategic assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial plans and forecasts for the asset, including sales, COGs, variances, primary costs, FTES, CAPEX, inventory, and deferred revenue.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with the Asset Head and Site Leadership team to ensure proper flow of communication and coordination between Operations and BU/Division business partners.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly financial performance of the Business Area/Asset vs. plan, and review and sign off of material revenue items in accordance with IFRS15.
  • Process Excellence: Support the Site Finance Head in the financial integration of the site into the Lonza systems and network, and liaise with the Operational Excellence head to drive the productivity agenda for the Business Area/Asset.
  • Compliance: Ensure financial compliance in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM), the Lonza Management Accounting Manual (MAM), and other required accounting principles.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree/MBA in Finance, Controlling, and/or Accounting.
  • Advanced experience in Finance and Controlling.
  • Highly analytical, highly organized, good communication skills, team-oriented, and at ease with ambiguity, cross-functional agility, proactively in search for best practice, ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge/expertise of SAP financial modules.
  • Experience of working with notions such as Standards/Variances, Absorption, and Material Ledger in an industrial context.
  • Can extract, manipulate large sets of data in Excel Pivot Tables, and translate into powerful, relevant, and straight-to-the-point graphs and presentations using PowerPoint/Thinkcell.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate and reliable reporting in a complex and dynamic environment.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $168,300.00 to $196,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
