Job Overview

This role is primarily focused on the Controlling (CO) module within SAP, where you will provide essential support for our global operations. The position allows for remote work, with occasional travel required for international project implementations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of SAP Financials, emphasizing CO Controlling, including:
    • Cost Center Accounting
    • Profit Center Accounting
    • Product Costing
    • Profitability Analysis
    • Month-End Closing
    • Overhead Assessment
    • Material Ledger and Actual Costing
  • Conduct thorough analyses of intricate business process needs and deliver suitable system solutions; document and validate user requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements effectively.
  • Map out business objectives and processes, offering various solution alternatives and insights.
  • Prepare functional specifications for necessary system modifications that align with business needs.
  • Design, customize, and test CO modules to meet operational demands.
  • Identify and address gaps and issues, proposing effective workarounds.
  • Serve as a liaison with business stakeholders for troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving issues.
  • Document functional designs, specifications, test cases, and outcomes.
  • Proactively suggest enhancements to business processes and systems.
  • Provide training and support to users as necessary.
  • Work independently and may mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with a global support team to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to configure the CO module to fulfill costing requirements.
  • Experience in gathering requirements from diverse business users, particularly in North America.
  • Strong relationship management skills with business users.
  • Familiarity with General Ledger and at least two of the following areas:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Financial Accounting
    • Management Accounting
    • Fixed Asset Accounting
    • Inter-company and Intra-company Accounting
  • Knowledge of FI integration with other SAP modules such as MM, PP, and SD.
  • Experience with S4HANA is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience with data migration projects is a plus.
  • Understanding of business processes from a customer perspective.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment, guiding users on best practices in SAP CO.
  • Results-oriented with a flexible and resourceful approach.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills, particularly when communicating with users with limited SAP knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and troubleshooting.
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Functional experience in Finance and/or Costing, preferably in a finance role.
  • SAP Certification in FICO is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in full-cycle implementation and support projects, particularly in the CO area. Experience in the manufacturing sector is a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on SAP experience in the Controlling side of FICO, covering Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, and Material Ledger.
