Together, we aspire to deliver unmatched service and innovation within the moving and storage sector. We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Senior Operations Manager to lead our field and warehouse operations teams.

Position Overview:


The Senior Operations Manager will be tasked with managing and enhancing the operations of both field and warehouse teams.

This role will supervise Area Managers in the field, who are responsible for guiding layered teams of Senior Leads and Lead Drivers focused on moving and storage services.

Moreover, the role will oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and overall management for our various regions.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership capabilities, a strategic approach, and a proven history in operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Operations:
Manage the daily activities of the moving and storage teams.
Guide and mentor leads, senior leads, and area managers, ensuring they achieve performance and service delivery standards.
Formulate and execute operational strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize route planning and resource allocation.

Warehouse Operations:
Oversee the daily functions of the warehouse, ensuring effective storage and retrieval processes.
Establish and maintain inventory management systems to monitor the movement and storage of items.
Supervise warehouse personnel, providing training and development opportunities to boost performance.
Ensure the warehouse complies with safety and cleanliness standards.
Coordinate with the field operations team to guarantee seamless integration of warehouse and field activities.

General Management:
Develop and manage budgets for field and warehouse operations.
Analyze operational data and produce reports to guide strategic decisions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Collaborate with other departments, such as HR, finance, and customer service, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain Iron Mountain's leadership in the moving and storage sector.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
Master's degree in Business Administration preferred but not required.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, ideally in the moving, storage, or warehousing sectors.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire large teams.
Experience with continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in operations management software and tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in multi-site operations preferred.
