Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Agronomy Sales Representative to join our team in Walla, Walla, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase profitability through the implementation of sales, marketing, and consulting processes for products and services.
  • Evaluate current customer programs and develop sales and marketing plans to meet complex business needs while growing the business.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, distribution, operations, technical staff, and credit to enhance the visibility and impact of sales calls and improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and maintain positive long-term relationships with suppliers and customers to create repeat business.
  • Provide consultative services to businesses and customers by combining established relationships with product, marketing, and technical skills.
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids, and proposals to ensure successful transactions.
  • Train staff and customers on products and services.
  • Apply CHS sales cycle to achieve targeted results.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, servicing complaints and inquiries.
  • Lead sales projects and mentor less experienced sales staff.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and/or GED
  • At least 2+ years of sales, business development, business operations, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agronomy sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or related field
  • Outside sales experience, including presentations, negotiation skills, customer service, conflict resolution, and working independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
