Production Agronomy Intern

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Agronomy Intern to join our team for the summer of 2024. As a Production Agronomy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced agronomists and gain hands-on experience in seed production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the production of seed, including scouting and Integrated Pest Management duties
  • Conduct research studies, economic injury threshold evaluation, weed and disease identification, and crop progress reporting
  • Support the Plant Agronomist in the day-to-day activities of seed production
  • Participate in special projects assigned by the Agronomist
Requirements:
  • Sophomore or junior year pursuing a 4-year degree in agronomy, agriculture business, agriculture studies, agricultural systems technology, or related field
  • Previous internships in production agriculture or relevant experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), teamwork and leadership skills, strong computer and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, lead and influence teams/projects, and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
