Job Summary

As a Patient Services Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the office for daily activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Screen visitors and respond to routine requests for information, providing exceptional customer service
  • Greet patients arriving for appointments, ensuring all necessary paperwork and insurance information are up to date and correct
  • Collect co-pays and issue receipts, maintaining accurate and timely patient information in our Centricity database
  • Notify physician offices and clinic staff of patient arrivals, facilitating seamless communication
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information in our Centricity database, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Check films in through our computer database, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Answer telephones and transfer callers to the appropriate staff member, providing prompt and courteous service
  • Scan all appropriate paperwork into our EMR, including outside records, maintaining a secure and efficient workflow
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in special committees, contributing to the growth and development of our team

  • Maintain effective working relationships with physicians, administration, and other staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Education and Experience
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology is desirable, but not mandatory
