Job Overview

The primary responsibility of a Quality Control Inspector is to meticulously assess incoming materials and products to ensure they meet the specifications and inspection criteria established by both the customer and supplier.

Quality Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials/products to determine acceptance or rejection based on established standards, while consistently achieving minimum lot requirements each week.
- Promptly escalate any quality concerns or issues to the Supply Chain, Quality Leadership, and Manufacturing teams.
- Appropriately categorize nonconforming materials/products into Material Review Board (MRB) as necessary.
- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives aimed at improving inspection accuracy and efficiency.
- Adhere to internal procedures while performing duties.
- Assist in the calibration activities of equipment and tooling.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in metrology and finished product inspection or related fields; high-level assembly experience may be considered in lieu of finished product inspection experience.
- Proven experience in quality inspection and maintaining accurate records.
- Proficient in computer applications and systems necessary for efficient and accurate transaction of information regarding inspected materials/lots.
- Competent in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats; knowledge of manufacturing processes is advantageous.

Specific Skills:

- Inspect, measure, and compare machined or fabricated components against specifications and drawings.
- Evaluate completed product assemblies for fit, finish, and functionality against established criteria.
- Verify kitted products for completeness and accuracy in accordance with standards.
- Complete necessary documentation, including Quality Assurance Inspection Reports, and accurately log information.
- Communicate findings regarding nonconforming items with clarity and urgency to relevant personnel and assist in resolving issues.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
- Proficient use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Possess visual acuity for aligning optical images.
- Intermediate knowledge of multi-meters and basic electronic equipment.

Education Requirements:

- A high school diploma is required.
- An associate degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule:

- Standard hours are from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime.
