Job Overview:
The Incoming Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming materials and products meet the established specifications and inspection criteria as defined by the organization and its partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials/products to determine acceptance or rejection based on predefined standards.
  • Utilize the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for accurate material transactions.
  • Promptly report any quality issues to the relevant departments including Supply Chain and Quality Leadership.
  • Manage nonconforming materials/products appropriately, ensuring they are documented and processed correctly.
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives aimed at improving inspection accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to internal protocols and procedures while performing inspection tasks.
  • Assist in the calibration of tools and equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in metrology, quality inspection, or a related field; high-level assembly experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in quality inspection techniques and documentation practices.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret and follow detailed written instructions and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a background in manufacturing processes being advantageous.
Specific Skills:
  • Expertise in inspecting and measuring machined or fabricated components against technical drawings.
  • Ability to assess completed product assemblies for compliance with specifications.
  • Thoroughness in verifying kitted products for completeness and accuracy.
  • Competence in completing necessary documentation, including Quality Assurance Inspection Reports.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and assist in resolving quality-related issues.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Visual acuity for aligning optical images.
  • Intermediate knowledge of multimeters and basic electronic equipment.
Education:
  • High school diploma is required.
  • An associate degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
