Salary: Starting at $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll/HR Manager to oversee our payroll operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that payroll expenses and taxes are processed accurately and punctually. A significant aspect of this position involves managing our payroll team and collaborating with various professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a methodical approach, along with substantial experience in payroll management and a thorough understanding of payroll legislation. We highly value integrity, teamwork, and exceptional organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage payroll team members, including Payroll Specialists.
- Direct and oversee payroll processes.
- Mentor and guide the payroll team.
- Establish systems for processing payroll transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments).
- Manage payroll adjustments (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and handle payroll tax audits.
- Work closely with tax and accounting departments.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a payroll manager or in a comparable role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll processes and relevant laws.
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-location payroll and taxation.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Accounting CS) and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPP, CPM) is advantageous.
