Key Responsibilities:

A Construction Site Supervisor is recognized as a skilled craftsman with extensive experience, capable of overseeing job sites with multiple workers and subcontractors. This role involves working closely with the site superintendent or independently based on project needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Comply with the company's safety protocols.
  • Arrive at work punctually each day, prepared to undertake daily tasks or communicate with your direct supervisor.
  • Deliver work that meets the high standards associated with Quandel's reputation.
  • Utilize mathematical and analytical skills for material and labor estimates.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading blueprints.
  • Organize the workflow of multiple employees and trade contractors on a single job site.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for daily job reports, time and material slips, extra work order reports, and timesheets.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in commercial construction with supervisory experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications in contract documents, quality control, cost management, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as:
    • Layout
    • Framing
    • Concrete formwork/placement/finishing
    • Installation of doors/frames/hardware
    • Rough blocking
    • Install specialties
    • Install casework
    • Install trim
  • Must be capable of operating company equipment as required on the job site.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Exhibit professionalism in interactions with clients, design professionals, and colleagues while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Effectively follow contract requirements, explain schedules, provide clear directions, set realistic completion expectations, and address inquiries about construction processes to employees, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Skilled in building relationships with all parties involved in the construction process to foster a collaborative work environment and facilitate prompt resolution of issues as they arise.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary. Essential functions include regular sight, speech, and hearing; frequent standing and walking; occasional kneeling and stooping; and the ability to manipulate, handle, or feel objects. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers may also be used.

Tasks may include climbing ladders, erecting scaffolding, operating aerial lifts, and driving company vehicles.
