The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a methodical approach, along with substantial experience in payroll management and a thorough understanding of payroll legislation. We highly value integrity, teamwork, and exceptional organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage payroll team members, including Payroll Specialists.
- Direct and oversee payroll processes.
- Mentor and guide payroll personnel.
- Establish systems for processing payroll transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments).
- Manage payroll adjustments (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary increases) and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and handle payroll tax audits.
- Work closely with tax and accounting departments.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a payroll manager or in a comparable position.
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll practices and relevant legislation.
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-location payroll and taxation.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Accounting CS) and Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPP, CPM) is advantageous.
