As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of Grid Energy Markets. You will work closely with product management to create a clear and concise product vision, and collaborate with the development team to deliver high-quality features and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to develop a deep understanding of the product vision and strategy.
  • Communicate the product vision and strategy to the development team through effective user stories.
  • Own the short-term product roadmap and its integration into a larger application or strategic roadmap.
  • Ensure that the technical roadmap and strategy are represented in the product roadmap.
  • Own and manage the backlog, prioritizing tasks to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations are always ready.
  • Prioritize tasks continuously in accordance with customer needs and problems.
  • Demonstrate strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, knowledge of industry trends, and expertise in the product and competitive landscape.
  • Engage frequently with the development team, facilitating discussions, providing clarification, and contributing to design activities and decisions.
  • Translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units.
  • Partner with Development Leadership/Service Owners to ensure a healthy development process.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Expert in Agile Methodology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Transmission Power System or relevant electrical utility industry knowledge or expertise.
Desired Characteristics
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts.
  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
  • Has the ability to analyze the impact of technology choices.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment.
