About the Role

System One is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Compliance Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations through consultative and investigative services, serving as a resource to other departments and management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, including drafting new policies and updating existing ones.
  • Support the reduction of legal risk by developing training programs and educational materials for HR and organizational leadership.
  • Lead or participate in special projects related to departmental and organizational needs.
HR Compliance Expertise

You will have the expertise to conduct complex investigations into Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), wage-hour, policy violations and other employment-related issues.

  • Conduct witness interviews, compile and review relevant documentation, analyze evidence, prepare reports and summaries, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Investigate and respond to government agency complaints, such as from the EEOC, DFEH, DOL, and DLSE.
  • Serve as the organization's representative and manage all phases of assigned employment litigation matters and investigations.
Visa & Immigration Compliance

You will oversee and administer immigration programs, including functioning as the primary Designated Official for the program.

  • Maintain I-9 compliance and other administrative items.
  • Facilitate and oversee external resources throughout all phases of the immigration process.
Compensation and Wage Hour Expertise

You will oversee and administer wage and hour projects across the organization.

  • Influence and provide consultative services to advise on and implement wage and hour programs.
  • Work cross-functionally to guide clients towards solutions that meet wage and hour rules while aligning with business and operational needs.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
