Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our valued clients, understanding their insurance needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with assigned accounts, serving as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact regarding their insurance policies.
  • Communication and Feedback: Regularly communicate with accounts to proactively address concerns, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for account growth.
  • Account Management: Manage assigned accounts and ensure all deadlines are met, including the timely renewal of policies and the collection of payments.
  • Risk Mitigation: Monitor account satisfaction levels and take proactive measures to ensure high levels of account retention, while also identifying opportunities to round out accounts and minimize exposures.
  • New Business Development: Market new business and/or renewal business, either independently or in conjunction with a Risk Advisor.
  • System Management: Manage all account work in our agency management system (EPIC) to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Professional Development: Seek and develop opportunities to increase knowledge of insurance industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of client and carrier information at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in account management, customer relationship management, or sales.
  • Skills: Proficient or able to quickly learn and utilize Microsoft Office and other applications to maximize efficiency and function in a paper-free environment.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Expectation to become licensed within 90 days of employment.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in utilizing service management software and tools like EPIC.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the insurance industry terminology and documentation.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret insurance-related data.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. We also offer professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
