Position Overview: The IT Specialist will be essential in maintaining and enhancing our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless business operations. Collaborating closely with the IT team and various departments, the IT Specialist will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and uphold the security and integrity of our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support to end-users, efficiently resolving hardware and software challenges.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including computers, printers, servers, and networking devices.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of IT systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Assist in managing all audio-visual and meeting room technology setups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate IT needs and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Support the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on IT tools and systems, promoting best practices for effective utilization.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:

This role operates within a professional office environment, active warehouse, and distribution center.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include regular communication, frequent standing and walking, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role may involve climbing ladders and servicing areas that require crawling or kneeling. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This full-time position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional after-hours or weekend commitments. The role may require being on call during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience in a similar capacity, is required. Strong technical skills in IT support, networking, and systems administration are essential.

Familiarity with networking protocols, hardware, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches) is expected. Knowledge of cloud platforms is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration in a team environment. Proficiency in operating systems (Windows), productivity suites (Microsoft Office, G Suite), and troubleshooting tools is required. Familiarity with beverage distribution software is preferred.
