Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at Reckitt. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department, you will be responsible for the continuous operation and upkeep of our wastewater treatment facility.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prioritize safe working conditions in the plant and speak up if something is unsafe.
- Compliant operation of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment system.
- Adapt to changing inputs and adjust plant conditions to maintain efficient operation.
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance activities on wastewater treatment equipment.
- Complete various lab tests to verify compliance with regulatory agencies such as EGLE.
- Apply mathematical concepts to accurately complete tests and apply chemical dosages.
- Keep accurate records of plant conditions and test results.
- Become a certified operator within 2 years of hire.
**Requirements:**
- Associate degree in Environmental or associated field, or equivalent experience with State certification in a municipal or industrial wastewater treatment facility is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent will be considered with relevant experience.
- Experience in working in unsupervised environments where independent thinking yields positive results.
- Experience making decisions in a timely manner that are well informed and thought out.
