Position Overview:
The Shipping Coordinator for our greenhouse facility plays a crucial role in supporting our operations by overseeing the shipping processes and managing H2A labor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise a team of 8-10 H2A workers engaged in shipping activities, including order pulling, assembly, and rack construction.
2. Generate pull lists for order fulfillment, manage rack planning, and create rack labels and build sheets.
3. Facilitate effective communication with H2A workers, track logged hours, and plan for future labor needs.
4. Oversee all order modifications and manage pull list assignments, ensuring timely updates for contract growers and short items.
5. Ensure adequate coverage for TC stage 3 orders in collaboration with the TC inventory manager.
Shared Responsibilities:
1. Direct shipping operations and participate in weekly production meetings.
2. Conduct inspections of plants to guarantee product quality prior to dispatch.
3. Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and technology used in shipping.
4. Manage materials related to order racks and shipping supplies, prioritizing greenhouse shipping activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
