Position Summary

The Utilities Operations Supervisor is tasked with ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and operation of all utility systems within the facility. This encompasses Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration, Plant Water, Steam Generation, Pneumatic Systems, Fire Protection, and HVAC Systems. The role involves leading a committed team of night shift technicians, ensuring compliance with safety and food safety regulations, and upholding standards set by OSHA and EPA through our Process Safety Management initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate leadership by ensuring team compliance with all safety and food safety protocols.
  • Utilize extensive mechanical and operational expertise in plant utility systems.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding training program for utility technicians.
  • Leverage the CMMS/SAP system for data management and work tracking, providing training to team members.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and daily operational activities.
  • Conduct audits, preventative maintenance reviews, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address customer requirements and build mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Monitor employee productivity and performance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant PSM/Safety/Environmental regulations.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Technical training in Industrial Refrigeration is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity; 5 years in a mechanical/refrigeration-related field is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of ammonia refrigeration processes and technologies is crucial.
  • Skills: Proficient in CCMS systems, Microsoft Office, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in the food processing and packaging sector is advantageous.
  • Residency: Candidates must reside in the US. Sponsorship is not available.
