We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mount Desert Island Hospital. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily menu planning and food preparation to ensure that all meals meet the hospital's quality and safety standards.
- Supervise a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with the hospital's nutrition team to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a hospital or healthcare setting.
