Position Overview

Role Summary
The Guest Services Representative is responsible for greeting and registering guests, processing payments, and addressing guest inquiries. This role also involves collaboration with housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services to meet guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and allocate rooms accordingly.
  • Provide detailed information regarding hotel services, room availability, rates, and amenities.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Manage room assignments for incoming guests, handle same-day bookings, and assist with guest room orientation.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are prepared to meet guest expectations.
  • Process guest check-outs and handle payment transactions.
  • Work in tandem with guest services to facilitate efficient luggage handling during check-in and check-out.
  • Follow established procedures for baggage tagging and storage.
  • Deliver messages and packages to guest rooms or designated areas promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and luggage storage areas.
  • Create personalized amenities for special occasions.
  • Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations.
  • Recommend local dining and activity options to guests.
  • Handle cash transactions, reconcile daily reports, and prepare deposits.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.

Work Environment
This role requires the ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.

Employees may work in varying conditions, including outdoor environments, and may need to navigate uneven surfaces. Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs may be required, either independently or with assistance.
