Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. You will be the first point of contact, responsible for welcoming guests and providing them with accurate information and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and efficiently complete check-in procedures, ensuring satisfaction and room assignments are met.
- Facilitate guest departures by processing check-outs and managing accounts accurately.
- Handle financial transactions with precision, maintaining accurate records of guest accounts and charges.
- Respond to inquiries regarding reservations and hotel services, utilizing effective communication and sales techniques.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local events and hotel amenities to provide guests with timely information.
- Operate the PBX system to manage incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring guests receive prompt assistance.
- Uphold cash handling protocols and maintain responsibility for personal bank as per hotel policy.
- Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor at all times, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle customer service challenges with tact and understanding.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods, operate office equipment, and assist guests throughout the hotel.
