New Business Development Specialist

This is a professional sales position responsible for driving business growth and improving Sysco's market position by executing long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics and lead generation techniques to secure new business opportunities, while utilizing Sysco's Salesforce platform to streamline sales processes.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve regional financial goals
- Work with regional sales leaders to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities
- Utilize advanced analytics insights to inform business development decisions and optimize sales performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, distributors, and foodservice industry peers
- Stay up-to-date with emerging market trends and foodservice industry developments to inform business growth strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales plans, including proposal development and contract negotiation
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted action plans
- Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to enhance business development skills and stay current with industry trends
- Minimum 3+ years' relevant sales experience in a business-to-business professional sales environment
- Proven track record of new business development and sales growth
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to derive insights from data and drive business decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to learn and utilize proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth
