Position Overview

The Sales Data Analyst is a proactive, data-centric professional who will enhance our business operations by executing and disseminating sales analytics and reporting throughout the organization. This role involves monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), sales forecasts, and market dynamics. The analyst will also assist in managing sales applications and reporting tools to ensure that relevant data is accessible to meet the evolving needs of the business. Utilizing business intelligence (BI) tools and platforms, the analyst will provide actionable sales insights to both sales and management teams while tracking all sales-related KPIs. Collaboration with sales leadership will be essential to analyze market, product, and customer trends, employing data models to present business intelligence that supports strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sales reporting data systems such as Cognos and Power BI.
  • Develop and refine tools for reporting and analyzing critical sales KPIs.
  • Educate the organization on utilizing analytical reports, tools, and dashboards.
  • Empower business users to independently generate ad-hoc sales reports and data inquiries using analytical tools.
  • Oversee the maintenance of sales budgets and targets across reporting and KPIs.
  • Assist in the administration of product pricing, including updates and system maintenance.
  • Support monthly business intelligence reporting requirements.
  • Present data using effective visualization techniques.
  • Conduct market reporting using BI tools to integrate data with business sales information.
  • Evaluate the impacts of strategic sales and pricing initiatives.
  • Support Salesforce CRM administration.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Document all processes and research findings.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data modeling tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and utilize time efficiently.
  • Solid mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Passion for leveraging data to drive business value.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience with statistical software, business intelligence tools, and data frameworks (Power BI, Cognos, and Hubble preferred).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and relevant certifications is preferred.
  • Understanding of sales processes and pricing strategies is advantageous.
