Cybersecurity Compliance Officer

As a Cybersecurity Compliance Officer at Karpel Computer Systems Inc, you will be responsible for overseeing the security of client workstations, servers, and networks. Your role will involve evaluating current security measures against established regulatory IT security standards and ensuring comprehensive documentation for processes and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments utilizing Karpel audit tools and identify necessary adjustments to meet IT security standards.
- Review Karpel's Security Awareness Training for updates and ensure annual refreshment of campaigns for clients.
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure timely remediation of SIEM and MDR issues.
- Monitor the Anti-Virus portal for incidents and verify that all clients have active Anti-Virus solutions through audits with the RMM portal.
- Ensure consistency between the MDR console and RMM portal counts.
- Confirm that firewalls are operational and backed up within the Cloud Firewall Manager.
- Perform audits on firewalls to ensure they are securely configured.
- Evaluate ConnectWise Command patching policies to guarantee that patch automation is effectively applied to servers and desktops.
- Review group policies for servers and desktops to enhance security measures.
- Verify that server and SaaS backups are current and capable of successful recovery tasks.
- Inspect access point and switch cloud consoles to ensure all sites are adequately backed up.
- Execute security network scans on a regular basis for clients.
- Conduct dark web scans for clients periodically.
- Analyze CVEs and implement necessary remediation within client environments.
- Address any security-related customer tickets submitted through the ticketing system.
- Perform Red Team security audits on prospective clients and document findings along with recommended remediation.
- Audit Microsoft Office 365 cloud environments to strengthen security protocols.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Technology.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in current Microsoft Server and workstation operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, MFA, O365 SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and Enterprise Mobility + Security.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Virtual servers, Hyper-V, and VMware virtualization.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, configuring, securing, and supporting Active Directory environments from small to enterprise levels.
