Position Overview: Auditor I at Ameren Services
The Auditor I is essential in collaborating with management across various levels to perform audits that emphasize the Company's regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and project integrity. By scrutinizing business processes, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies, the Auditor I plays a vital role in bolstering the organization's overall governance and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute financial and operational evaluations to ensure adherence to policies and regulations
- Identify and assess business, regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational risks
- Assist in the evaluation of processes and controls for business initiatives and special projects
- Support risk assessment efforts and collaborate with external auditing firms
- Utilize critical judgment, analytical capabilities, and effective communication to foster improvements
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines, from an accredited institution. Additional qualifications include experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business risk assessment, data analytics, and public accounting. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE are preferred, or candidates should demonstrate the ability to obtain these certifications within a designated timeframe. Proficiency in internal auditing standards is also highly regarded.
