About The Position

The Auditor I collaborates with various management levels to conduct audits focused on the Company's regulatory adherence, operational efficiency, and project execution. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of business processes and internal controls related to key business initiatives, compliance with regulatory standards, corporate governance, risk management, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitating financial and operational assessments to ensure adherence to management policies and applicable regulations (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley). Conducting reviews in line with the audit plan's scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Working alongside management and process owners to identify and assess current business, regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational risks, aligning them with relevant processes and controls. Communicating audit findings and statuses to key stakeholders and assisting in the development of action plans to address root causes and enhance operations.
  • Supporting audit teams in evaluating processes and controls related to business initiatives, process redesign, or other special projects.
  • Assisting Senior and Lead Auditors in risk assessment tasks, including evaluating project, operational, regulatory, and cyber risks, identifying emerging threats, and shaping audit program objectives.
  • Collaborating with external auditors regarding the timing and scope of their work.
  • Exercising critical judgment, strong analytical capabilities, and sound independent decision-making. Demonstrating excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and/or business risk assessment in a regulated setting is preferred. Familiarity with data analytics and/or automation is also advantageous. Public accounting experience is desirable.

In addition to the qualifications above, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, etc., or the ability to meet certification requirements within twenty-four (24) months.
  • Proficiency in internal auditing professional standards is preferred.
