Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development: Formulate, interpret, and execute information security and declassification policies and procedures.
  • Training Programs: Design and implement training materials focused on security education.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to the integration of sensitive program information, including access determinations and system accreditations.
  • Auditing and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and audits of the Agency's protection programs.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents involving classified material mishandling and unauthorized equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside other agencies and private entities to coordinate classification guides and information releases.

Additional Insights:

The Counter Insider Threat Office (SII) plays a pivotal role in securing NGA personnel and data by identifying and mitigating insider threats. Investigators within this division are tasked with conducting inquiries in compliance with established policies to protect our national security capabilities.

Qualifications:

Mandatory: Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience in criminal investigations, security inquiries, or intelligence analysis. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Desirable: Experience in investigative credentials, advanced analytic training, and cyber investigations is preferred.

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. A polygraph examination is also required as part of the employment process.
