Facilities Operations Assistant

Oak View Group is a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our operations team as a Facilities Operations Assistant.
This role will involve participating in conversions, event set-ups, and event break-downs, as well as performing various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Setup and tear down of event equipment as designated by event documents.
- Performing various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met, including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas, and replenishing supplies.
- Performing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment.
- Reporting irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
- Working extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements include:
- Frequent bending, lifting 15-50 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time.
- Demonstrating knowledge of typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility, and proper use and care of hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, scrubbing machines, or other light power-driven equipment is preferred.
- Ability to remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
