Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a high-performing finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepare the organization for P&L segment reporting as we transition into a revenue-generating entity, focusing on rapid and capital-efficient growth with high margins.
  • Manage key areas including:
    • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): budgets, forecasting, management reporting, and business analytics.
    • Treasury: overseeing liquidity, cash flow management, and fundraising strategies.
    • Strategic Risk Management: addressing operational, workplace, and commercialization risks.
    • Strategic Finance: developing long-term financial plans, setting targets, and managing procurement.
  • Collaborate across all business sectors to enhance financial literacy and business insight among leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to meet objectives and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Drive ongoing improvements and simplification of financial processes, including the planning and implementation of new reporting tools.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Engage in both hands-on and strategic activities, demonstrating the ability to operate at all levels.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant financial experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Proven expertise in deriving and acting on financial insights.
  • Experience in leading, developing, and nurturing a high-performing finance team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
  • Experience in leading FP&A or core finance functions.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing processes and automating finance functions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, influencing technical, business, and operational decisions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing KPIs to enhance resource and operational efficiency.
  • Passion for contributing to Aurora's mission.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience across multiple industries (e.g., Automotive, Logistics, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with various financial functions (e.g., FP&A, Purchasing, Manufacturing).
  • Experience in sourcing and implementing financial planning tools or ERP systems.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA (or equivalent international qualification).
  • Experience interacting with investment banks, research analysts, and board members.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $350,000 - $375,000 per year. Aurora's compensation structure is determined by role, level, and location. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be influenced by job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. This range may be adjusted in the future. Additionally, the successful candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
