POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Operations Assistant will collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Director, providing comprehensive administrative and promotional support to the marketing team at Little, Brown and Company. This role encompasses the management of marketing initiatives from conception to execution, including newsletter campaigns, social media engagement, and digital content development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist the marketing team by participating in brainstorming sessions, developing book campaigns, and crafting content.
- Oversee project management tasks for seasonal marketing efforts, which include updating marketing materials, organizing promotional sheets, and compiling various marketing resources.
- Create and distribute monthly newsletters for different imprints within Little, Brown.
- Manage and write copy for various marketing materials, such as promotional items, reading group guides, social media posts, graphics, email communications, and newsletters.

- Organize and execute mailings to bookstores and influencers.
- Administer Little, Brown's GoodReads and NetGalley accounts.
- Supervise the marketing team's galley distribution process.
- Produce visual content, including videos, social media graphics, and other design elements using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
- Update and maintain the company website through our content management system (WordPress) as necessary.
- Liaise with senior management and various departments within HBG, as well as with influencers, booksellers, authors, and literary agents.
- Perform administrative tasks such as coordinating mailings, scheduling meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, managing database entries, and generating weekly reports.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A strong interest in the publishing industry is essential, alongside a keen interest in marketing.
- A college degree is preferred, with prior work or internship experience in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with social media, graphic design, and content creation is necessary. Proficiency in Canva, WordPress, Braze, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing is preferred.

- Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
- The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team.

The compensation range for this position is $47,500. Salary may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and location.

Benefits offered by the company include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), discretionary bonuses, and paid time off (15 vacation days, 3 personal days, 10 holidays, and generous sick leave).
