The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Marketing Director to deliver comprehensive administrative and promotional assistance to the Little, Brown and Company marketing team. This role encompasses the management of marketing initiatives from conception to execution, including newsletter campaigns, social media engagement, and digital content development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the marketing team by participating in brainstorming sessions, developing book campaigns, and producing content.
- Oversee project management tasks for seasonal marketing projects, including updating marketing copy for fact sheets, organizing promotional materials, and compiling other marketing resources.
- Design and manage monthly newsletters for various imprints within Little, Brown.
- Lead the creation and management of marketing materials, such as promotional items, reading group guides, social media graphics, email pitches, and newsletters.
- Coordinate and execute mailings to bookstores and key influencers.
- Administer Little, Brown's GoodReads and NetGalley accounts.
- Oversee the marketing team's galley distribution process.
- Produce visual content, including videos and social media graphics, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools.
- Update and maintain the company website through our content management system (WordPress) as required.
- Engage with senior management and various departments within HBG, as well as with influencers, booksellers, authors, and literary agents.
- Perform administrative tasks such as coordinating mailings, scheduling meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, database management, and generating weekly reports.
- A genuine interest in book publishing is crucial, alongside a strong passion for marketing.
- A college degree is preferred, along with previous experience in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with social media, graphic design, and content creation is essential. Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, Braze, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing is preferred.
- Knowledge of project management software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
- The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team.

The compensation range for this role is $47,500, with variations based on skills, experience, and location. Please consult with your recruiter for further details. There may be occasions where overtime is required due to the nature of the role or specific workload demands.
