Marketing Coordinator, Little, Brown

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Operations Assistant will collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Director, providing comprehensive administrative and promotional support to the Little, Brown and Company marketing team. This role encompasses the coordination of promotional campaigns from inception to execution, including newsletter initiatives, social media engagement, digital content development, and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the marketing team by participating in brainstorming sessions, book promotional campaigns, and content generation.
- Oversee project management tasks for seasonal marketing efforts, including updating promotional materials, organizing sell sheets, and compiling other marketing resources.
- Develop and manage a series of monthly newsletters for various imprints within Little, Brown.
- Project manage and craft content for marketing collateral, which includes promotional items, reading group guides, social media posts, graphics, email pitches, newsletters, and more.
- Organize and execute mailings to bookstores and influencers.
- Manage Little, Brown's GoodReads and NetGalley accounts.
- Oversee the marketing team's galley distribution process.
- Produce graphic content such as videos, social media quote cards, and other graphics using design software like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Update and maintain the company website through our content management system (WordPress) as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with senior staff and various departments within HBG, as well as with influencers/media, booksellers, authors, and literary agents.
- Administrative duties include coordinating mailings, scheduling meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, database management, and creating weekly reports.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A strong interest in book publishing and marketing is essential.
- A college degree is preferred, along with prior work or internship experience in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with social media, graphic design, and content creation is required. Proficiency in Canva, WordPress, Braze, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.
- The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team.

The compensation range for this position is $47,500. Salary may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and location.
Occasionally, you may be required to work overtime due to the nature of your responsibilities or exceptional workload demands.
