POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Marketing Director, providing comprehensive administrative and promotional assistance to the Little, Brown and Company title marketing team. This role encompasses the management of marketing initiatives from conception to execution, including newsletter campaigns, social media engagement, and digital content development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the title marketing team by participating in marketing discussions, book promotion strategies, and content generation.
  • Oversee project management tasks for seasonal marketing efforts, such as revising marketing text for fact sheets, organizing promotional materials, and compiling other marketing resources.
  • Develop and distribute a series of monthly newsletters for various imprints within Little, Brown.
  • Manage and create content for marketing materials, including promotional items, reading group guides, social media posts, graphics, email communications, newsletters, and more.
  • Coordinate and execute mailings to bookstores and key influencers.
  • Administer Little, Brown's GoodReads and NetGalley accounts.
  • Oversee the marketing team's galley distribution process.
  • Create visual content, including videos, social media graphics, and other ad hoc materials using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Update and maintain the company website via our content management system (WordPress) as necessary.
  • Engage with senior staff and various departments within HBG, as well as influencers, booksellers, authors, and literary agents.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including coordinating mailings, scheduling meetings, recording and distributing meeting notes, database management, and generating weekly reports.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A strong interest in book publishing and marketing is essential.
  • A college degree is preferred, along with prior work or internship experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with social media, graphic design, and content creation is required. Proficiency in Canva, WordPress, Braze, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
  • The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team.

The compensation range for this position is $47,500. Salary may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and location.
