Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the University of Chicago Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and clerical support to coordinate and facilitate patient care within the unit.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate perioperative services appointments and provide high-volume customer service to patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Interact with patients, their families, and healthcare team members to identify and address their needs.
  • Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to maintain accurate records and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Manager and Supervisor to develop and implement effective patient care strategies.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of general office experience, preferably in a medical/clinical setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, use discretion, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn and utilize applicable software.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Business courses preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
