The Glens Falls National Bank & Trust Company is in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to enhance our Compliance and Risk Management division as a:

Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

As a BSA Compliance Analyst, you will provide essential support to the BSA Manager, ensuring adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Staying updated on current and emerging regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Investigating reports and customer account data to identify suspicious activities that may indicate money laundering or structuring.
  • Assisting in the timely preparation of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and other compliance documentation for review.
  • Conducting necessary searches in accordance with OFAC and FinCEN guidelines, ensuring accurate reporting of findings.
  • Collaborating with various departments to facilitate ongoing reviews and analyses of compliance reports.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records related to BSA/AML and fraud incidents in alignment with company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this position, candidates should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Bank Secrecy Act compliance or a related financial services role is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn specialized software.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to ethical practices.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to:

  • Remain seated for extended periods and perform brief walking or standing tasks.
  • Utilize a computer and telephone efficiently.
  • Lift or move items weighing up to 15 lbs.
