Key Responsibilities- BSA/AML Compliance: Monitor and identify suspicious activities and transactions in accordance with BSA/AML regulations.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain BSA/AML policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Training and Development: Provide training to staff on BSA/AML related topics to ensure a thorough understanding of our compliance obligations.
- Suspicious Activity Reports: Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required by regulatory agencies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all federal laws and regulations, including regular monitoring and review of customer onboarding processes.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed of changes in regulations and guidelines to ensure our organization remains compliant.
- Risk-Based AML Program: Develop and maintain a risk-based AML program to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and maintain BSA/AML reports for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Customer Due Diligence: Perform periodic customer due diligence reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Partnerships: Partner with regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance and address any concerns.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, preferably in a financial institution or related industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal banking regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and recognize potential risks.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and regulatory agencies.
- Organizational Skills: Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
