Job Title: Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at TrinityRail in Doraville, GA. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, handling general office tasks, and supporting the daily operations of our railyard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service and support, including intake of BOLs and commodities being delivered or transferred
  • Fulfill daily workload and tasks delegated by manager, with the ability to cross-train as necessary
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors to the facility
  • Update and maintain customer databases, monitor and order customer inventory, and maintain filing systems
  • Compile records of office duties and activities, handle inquiries and incoming customer work order requests, and review files and records to answer customer requests for information
  • Check and distribute documents and correspondence, photocopy, scan, fax, and send emails, and organize and schedule customer work orders
  • Interact with customers, railroad crews, and visitors, and answer phones for the facility
  • Utilize an inventory tracking system and perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver License
  • Five (5) + years of experience in an Office setting, railyard preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
  • Proficient computer skills with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of office and business practices, equipment, and procedures
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Able to pay close attention to details and identify and correct mistakes
  • Must possess good organizational skills
  • Ability to perform work safely and productively

Environmental Conditions:

Work in trailer or building on Rail Road Terminal property. No exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise or chemicals or hazardous equipment.
