Web Content Supervisor

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting volunteer fire, emergency medical, and rescue services. With over 45 years of service, the NVFC represents the interests of more than one million volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel nationwide.
The NVFC is in search of a talented and driven Digital Media Manager to enhance the organization's online presence. This role is remote, with a preference for candidates located near the Washington, DC area to facilitate collaboration with core staff. The Digital Media Manager will play a crucial role in assisting the Chief of Communications with outreach and marketing initiatives, primarily focusing on digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive digital media strategies that align with the NVFC's mission and target demographics.
- Social Media Oversight: Manage the organization's social media channels, including content scheduling, audience engagement, and growth initiatives.
- Website Administration: Collaborate with the Chief of Communications to maintain and update the NVFC's websites.
- Content Development: Create and manage engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance.
- Email Marketing: Craft compelling content for newsletters and eblasts, utilizing email marketing tools for distribution.
- Campaign Execution: Plan, implement, and refine digital marketing campaigns to optimize return on investment and achieve defined goals.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on digital media performance using various analytical tools, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the Chief of Communications, Program Managers, and other team members to ensure unified messaging and effective digital outreach.
- Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends in digital media to maintain a competitive edge.
- Administrative Support: Provide additional support as needed, including administrative tasks, event participation, and maintaining media lists.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a digital media management or communications role, with a proven track record of successful digital campaigns.
- Skills: Proficient in digital marketing tools, excellent writing and communication abilities, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, content management systems, and basic graphic design tools.
