Position Overview

The Clinical Therapist plays a crucial role in managing the therapeutic process for a designated client base. This professional is responsible for guiding and overseeing the treatment planning, ensuring that all clinical documentation is completed within the required timelines. Acting as a representative for children, families, and external organizations, the Clinical Therapist provides direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly individual and group therapy sessions, along with family therapy as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic services for quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborate with community resources, including legal and medical systems, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Assess client and family needs, making appropriate referrals to additional resources.
  • Ensure clients are placed in the most suitable and least restrictive environments, with clear objectives for permanency.

Position Type: Full-time 1099 Contractor, with 25-30 clinical hours per week.

Compensation: Starting at $55 - $75 per session, with therapists receiving a flat rate for each session. As an independent contractor, individuals are responsible for their own taxes and malpractice insurance.

Availability: Flexible scheduling options are available, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, potentially increasing to 30 hours or more. Office hours are available from Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 9 PM. Initial clients will be assigned, with opportunities to build a caseload over time.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a master's degree or PhD in social services or a related discipline.
  • Holds a valid license to practice in Kentucky (CSW, LPCA, LCSW, LMFT, LPC), with preference for fully licensed candidates.
  • Has completed foundational training in therapeutic modalities such as DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity, adapting therapeutic approaches as needed.
  • Adheres to ethical standards and maintains strict confidentiality.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency for documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
