Position Summary

The Center for Women and Families - Licensed Clinical Therapist

Our mission is to break the cycle of intimate partner and sexual violence. Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals affected by power-based violence? The Center for Women and Families seeks compassionate, dedicated, and empathetic professionals who are eager to support others. The Licensed Clinical Therapist role is integral to our vision of empowering survivors within secure communities.

Our Organization
The Center for Women and Families offers complimentary services to individuals of all backgrounds who have faced intimate partner and sexual violence. We assist our clients and their dependent children in becoming survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our aim is to alleviate the effects of their trauma by minimizing risk factors and fostering resilience. We serve individuals across various counties in Kentucky and Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake assessments and interviews to gather necessary information for comprehensive service planning.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing solution-focused, brief, evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Stay informed about current methodologies and treatment trends, demonstrating proficiency in client interactions.
  • Maintain licensure and supervision requirements as mandated.
  • Engage in case conferences, organizational meetings, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related discipline.
  • Licensed to provide clinical therapy in Kentucky and/or Indiana; must hold full licensure or be actively pursuing it with a supervisor.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong sense of empathy and self-motivation.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
