Civica is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization founded to address the critical shortages of generic injectable medications that hospitals across the United States face. Established by a coalition of health systems and philanthropic organizations, Civica aims to mitigate the impact of these shortages on patient care and reduce the exorbitant prices associated with essential medications.
Currently, Civica collaborates with over 55 health systems, representing more than 1,500 hospitals and a significant portion of U.S. hospital beds. The organization has also provided essential medicines to various government entities, including the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs and the U.S. Department of Defense.
In addition to its hospital-focused initiatives, Civica has expanded its mission to lower medication costs at retail pharmacies through its sister organization, CivicaScript. This initiative aims to address high-cost generic drugs where market dynamics have failed to control prices. Recently, Civica has announced plans to produce affordable biosimilar insulin, ensuring that those in need have access to this vital medication without financial burden.

- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, quality, or supply chain within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and MRP is advantageous.
