Public Sector Sales Director

About the Role:
MSC is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our Public Sector Team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Lead a team of account managers to ensure maximum sales growth and customer retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and private sector organizations
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to inform strategic decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 5 years of industrial/manufacturing sales experience, including 2 years of sales management
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and managing high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of MSC product lines and services, as well as public sector/National account identification and large account maintenance techniques
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Able to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally
