POSITION OVERVIEW:

Kforce Inc. is in search of a meticulous and committed Financial Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily financial activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial data within our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all financial operations related to property management, including revenue tracking, expense oversight, and financial variance assessments.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for designated properties.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
  • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and tenant accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation and billing of Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
  • Review and validate the work completed by team members, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
  • Conduct performance assessments and offer constructive feedback to foster professional development.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of accounting personnel.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the property portfolio.
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver insights regarding financial performance.
  • Collaborate with property management and other departments to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on property accounting in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation range reflects the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would offer for this position. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs. This range may be adjusted in the future.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k), and life, disability, and accidental death & dismemberment insurance for eligible employees. Salaried employees receive paid time off, while hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless mandated by law.
