POSITION SUMMARY:

Kforce Inc. is in search of a meticulous and committed Financial Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily financial activities, managing property financial operations, and leading a small team of accounting professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Financial Operations Supervisor will be responsible for all financial management tasks related to the property portfolio, including revenue tracking, expense oversight, and financial variance assessments.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for designated properties.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting standards.
  • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and tenant accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation and billing of Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting staff, providing essential guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
  • Review and validate the work completed by team members, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
  • Conduct performance assessments and offer constructive feedback to foster professional development.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and growth of accounting personnel.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the property portfolio.
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver insights regarding financial performance.
  • Collaborate with property management and other departments to guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA is mandatory.
  • Possession of a CPA certification or active pursuit of one is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in property accounting within the commercial real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and principles of real estate accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation range reflects the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this position. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs. This range may be adjusted in the future.
