We are seeking a highly skilled Managing Account Executive to join our Northfield Excess & Surplus (E&S) Brokerage team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Account Executives and driving the growth and profitability of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business
- Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities
- Foster and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers to market and sell Travelers products
- Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in E&S lines
- Deep knowledge of E&S products and the local insurance market
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze information and make timely decisions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate in difficult situations
